I don’t
mind computer and I think technology can bring a lot more excitement in the
classroom. I do have some disagreements with students being dependent on technology,
but I can change how fast the technology generations are moving. I own a mac, iPhone,
iPod and like them all and use them everyday. I do not spend a lot of time on
the Internet but I wish I could learn how to use the Internet more effectively
so that it can work to my advantage in the classroom. I probably use social
networking more than I should but I don’t really care as long as I don’t get
crazy over it.
Demonstrate a commitment to student-centered
education, diversity, collaboration, professionalism, and shared governance is where I can relate
myself to how I want to be as a teacher. Although this was not a factor for me
applying to the school it still speaks about collaborating the ride range of
diversity in the classroom, which is relevant in today’s schools. When I first
applied to CSUSM I went into the business degree and wanted to emphasize in
marketing but after two years in that school I wanted out real quick. Liberal
arts related better to how I learn as a student and it has directed me to want
to reach further goals beyond a degree.
Nice to meet you! See you in class!
